I had been on this spot a couple of years back. That time around I was surfing the well known wave of Padang Padang. The swell wasn't that big and the waves weren't coming that frequently. It was a slow day so to say. But anyways, the sun was shining and the water was warm so I wasn't complaining. As I sat there on my surfboard, my feet inside the water and my hands slowly moving smoothly stroking alongs the surface I notices how clear the water was. You could see the reef very clearly. I took time to appreciate the beauty of it. Looked around me, towards the other surfers and to the cliffs that where just infront of me. How the green of the tropical trees formed along the big rocks.
At that moment my interest for photography hadn't yet developed. I didn't even know what a drone was and let alone how to fly it. But when I came back to this place, two years later. I remembered that day down at the reef. And this time, I did have a drone with me. I knew I had to fly it out above the cliffs and out to the reef. What you see here is the photograph that I got.
