GREATEST ONE YET

Close up photograph of surfer ripping through a wave. Water splashes around the surfer as he is turning the surfboard on the face of the wave. His long hair and tanned body covered with water forming like drops because of the speed he is coming at. Speed created by the force of the sea. He is holing out his arms to keep his balance. The photograph is taken from the water by Oliver Sjöström, Ollivves in Gerupuk, Lombok in 2018.

Surf is what got me into photography. A trip a couple of years back, to this right spot in Gerupuk, Lombok got me thinking. It got me thinking of how I could do this for a living. Travel the world and enjoy the free spirited surfer-lifestyle. Surf ripping waves and meet awesome people. It’s funny that I got this photo at this right spot. To this day it’s the surf photo that I’m most happy with of taking. And there are many more to come!
